Prime Super announces new board appointment
Prime Super has appointed Allison Harker to its board.
Harker has been nominated as a director by the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) for her extensive experience in primary industry, government and financial services. She previously held roles in financial services in Australia, UK and Asia, and prior to returning to Australia, she was a director at Merrill Lynch/Bank of America based in Hong Kong. She is currently a partner in her family’s mixed farming business in Yass, NSW, a board chair and director.
“I am delighted to join the board of Prime Super and look forward to helping build the retirement savings of thousands of Australians,” said Harker.
Prime Super chair, Nigel Alexander, believes Harker will make a valuable contribution to the board.
MTAA Super and Tasplan appoint CIO
Ahead of their merger next year, MTAA Super and Tasplan have appointed Dr Ross Barry as chief investment officer.
With over 25 years’ experience, Dr Barry is a pioneer in institutional investing in Australia and is well known in the super industry as a specialist in private market investing and a leading proponent of active asset ownership. He was most recently the senior investment leader for First State Super.
Dr Barry will join MTAA Super on 28 September 2020.
